CH.3 Curious Researcher

Chapter 3 of the Curious Researcher talked about paraphrasing/summarizing and note-taking. I most appreciated the note-taking part of this chapter because I am the type of person who copies down exactly what I read and then use the straight facts to try and later organize and make sense of them. Ballenger suggests reading an article or a few paragraphs and then writing a reflection on it right away, discussing what was just read and what you've comprehended from that. I think this will really help me to understand what I'm talking about and therefore be able to convey it better. I think it will also help me stay away from plagiarizing because I will already be forming my analysis so it will be less tempting to just rewrite exactly what the author just said.
