Chapter 2 of The Curious Researcher

  • One thing I have taken and have put to use through my research is the working bibliography. It is extremely helpful to have all of the citations organized along with a little summary of what I found in it. With the citations, if I find a useful or meaningful quote I jot down that too. It helps remind me how far I am and where my ideas are going, as well as keeping track if I am staying on topic. Also I was having trouble stating a thesis and was unsure how to go about it. It was helpful when he was saying to question your topic, what he said to question it with really helped me narrow down my thesis statement.
  • I don't believe I will take any surveys to help develop my research paper. Surveys tend to be biased and do not think they will be a huge help to my paper and my topic.
