Chapter 3 of The Curious Researcher
I found this chapter extremely helpful, probably the most useful out of the first 3. I have a hard time trying to paraphrase because like he said, the author or whoever wrote it always seems to write it so well that I do not know how to change it. When he was explaining how to paraphrase and summarize, it was really helpful. Ecspecially with paraphrasing because I always think it has to be as long as the authors but in his examples, it wasn't. Also how he explained taking notes with the book shut was so helpful. When I take notes I am usually just writing sentences straight from the section I am learning from, so it ends up adding more time to what I have to actually spend on it because I take notes word for word, and have to re-word later.
