Do you think disco would be around to this day if MTV had been present in the disco days?
I don't think that MTV would have made a difference. People already had their opinions about disco music and I really don't think that would have changed if it was played on tv also.
Do you think men hated disco simply because it reminded them of gay people?
No I don't think they hated disco because it reminded them of gay people. Men feel like they have to be masculine and serious and disco music is more fun and upbeat. Disco music didn't portray how men felt like they should act so I think this is why they didn't like it.
