De Beauvoir’s argument in this essay was that people’s opinion in society
is still, to say, less than a man’s status. Just the fact that men have a
higher status of masculinity than women. It is more acceptable to see a women
cooking and cleaning than it is to see a man doing these things.
I think de Beauvoir’s argument can connect to my own argument by the fact
that this class is based on women in America. This essay shows a lot of the
progression of women in time. The fact that we are still seen as less than a
man. I would connect this to my paper in my overall opinion of this class. We
talked a lot about what we are in school for so I think relating the difference
between men wages and women wages in the work field would be a good way to
connect to this article.
