1. What did the critics think of disco music in the 1970s?
Critics of disco music in the 1970's thought that music was only for gays, black, and other minorities they did not like. Critics of disco absolutely hated disco music.
2. What are some contributing factors that you think made disco be looked down upon?
I believe some of the contributing factor that made people look down on disco are the people that embraced the music.  At the time minorities were less excepted then they are now, but at the time minorities were the one that embraced disco. That gave the people a reason to hate that type of music, because they really just hated the type of people that listened to that type of music.
