Women as others
What is de Beauvoirs argument in this paper?
I didn't like that her argument was basically comparing women and men. Because many things that men do women can too. What stood out for me the most was how every time she would say something that I really didn't understand or agree with she back up her argument with facts that made it more clear for me to understand.
In what way can u connect de Beauvoirs argument to the other argument papers you've read?
I really didn't connect as much to de Beauvoirs argument as i did to the other argument papers I've read. But I could connect this to my field with becoming a future OB/GYN. How in today men and women seem to be in competition with one another through job position and how still men get paid more than women. This really made me stop and think rather than just read.

I really agree with how you said her argument was not just about men can do more than women cause I am a very firm believer that women can do what men can!
ReplyDeleteI also agree that I could connect the argument to my person life in the future careers.
I could connect this reading to the career I want too. I'm planning on going into football which obviously is male-dominated. I talked about that in my paper and about the competition and this gave me some ideas. I didn't go into pay concerns, although I know that women in the field definitely don't get paid as much as men! I feel like that's the case in so many fields where women are not common.
