Something that I took from chapter 1 of The Curious
Researcher that can help me with paper #3 was how to find a good topic. The
author listed many different ideas and techniques on how to find a good topic.
I can use the Internet, or Library, which were things I already knew about. He
also talked about looking “Close to Home” or things you had learned about in
other classes. It is easier to find a topic from these ideas because it is
something you are interested in learning more about because it actually has
something to do with you. I liked these two options because I had never thought
about them. When I was assigned a Research Paper in High School, I always
turned to Google to help me out. I liked the thought of looking elsewhere for
ideas and will definitely use that in my search for my topic in paper #3.
