The ending of "Theories of Intelligence" was a conclusion of how the writer discovered that he was actually smarter than he presumed he was when he was younger. It was an image of him seeing the younger version of himself on a beach and walking and talking with himself. He was telling the young him that he was smarter than he believed.

Quickwrite on Ballenger's Introduction February 23 2012
What I can take from this Introduction to apply to my third paper is that research papers do not have to be boring and super formal like we assume they do. Although everyone pictures the dreadful research papers they had to write in high school, it is possible to make the reading interesting by incorporating your own personal stories and style. You take the researched information that you find and rearrange it to make it capture the reader's attention. Also, the long and intense paper is not so scary to write if you break it down into about five weeks and do not procrastinate. Gathering your ideas and questions for the paper before hand, and then adding in little amounts of research each week makes it come together a lot easier.
