Curious Researcher Intro 2/23

Something I took from the Curious Researcher that I could apply to the introduction of my third paper was to not think so much about a paper, and just let it happen naturally. I learned that you don’t necessarily have to have a thesis statement before you start writing, because as you write your writing could evolve and go in a different direction.  I thought this was very helpful because I had always been taught in high school the very first thing you should come up with is the theses statement. This took away some of the pressure. “Theories of Intelligence/ The Bothersome Beauty of Pigeons” ended by the author comparing the war against pigeons to the war in Vietnam. He said that in the war in Vietnam, the U.S. government could not convince the population to support it, and that is the same with the control of pigeons.
