Chapter 8 1/31/12

The chapter talks about money and class. It helped me to realize how much emphasis power has in Jane Austen’s books. Juliet McMaster discusses money and class as determining factors of how much power, I believe, that others will view you as having. You can tell that even in England in Austen’s time period, sex, money, and power all still played a big role of what type of people you identify with, the way you are treated in public, and even the type of status you had in your own household.
