Gender

I think I understand it better now. Gender has a lot to do with sex manipulation. The author of this chapter mentions the end of Pride And Prejudice, that Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth had a happy marriage in comparison to many people around them because Mr. Darcy fell in love in Elizabeth and did not care about her social status. She also loved him, but for his personality, not for his money. E. J. Clery also points out that this gender power is stronger that money power for the couple (Lady Catherine could not manipulate them).
