I understand the topic of gender better now after reading the Cambridge Companion because it gives good examples on the diffrence between the roles of men and women and what they are expected to do. It shows who has power  and how being a women can limit you in life. Also, that there are differneces between what the men do and what women do and the difference with becoming a women. Women are not given the same options as men and have less power in most cases. Women with money for example like Lady Catherine do have power because of all the money she possess's and her socail status.
