"The Broken Mirror" 1/19/12

"The Broken Mirror" by Salman Rushdie is a good literacy biography because it was a very interesting piece to read. It starts off right away and grabs my attention, but the further I got into the story the more I got confused. Towards the middle of the piece when the author starts describing what "the broken mirror" really is and the way that he perceives it, I lost where the story was going. At first he was in Bombay, India describing his childhood and then two paragraphs later he was back in London where he wrote his book. However, if I look beyond the fact that the organization of the piece was confusing to me, the author did have good word choice within the story and the complex idea of "the broken mirror" was interesting.
