Stone Soup 1/17

The literacy Barbara Kingsolver is describing in this piece is that every ones family is different and because one family is different from another does not make one right or one wrong, each family has there own system that works whether its traditional or not. At first glance I was surprised to find out that the reading was connected to a divorce. It showed what one persons thoughts were while she was going through her own divorce. I was not very interested however, by the end of the story I really liked the way the story of the Stone Soup was pulled in and able to relate to this one lady. The story of the Stone Soup gave me a better understanding for divorce and for what Barbara stated about her own.
