I found this story very interesting as Amy Tan showed the difference between the mother and the daughter.  Often parents do not achieve everything that they wanted, so they push their children to accomplish their dream to become happy. Amy’s mother was very ambitious and wanted her daughter to succeed in life and get famous, while Amy was not at the same page with her mom. She was very stubborn and tried to protest every time.
