What about Tan’s piece makes it a compelling autobiography?

I believe that this is an amazing autobiography because it portrays so many emotions as she goes through troubles with her mother. As I was reading I felt as though I was there and I could imagine how she felt. I related to her in many ways. I assume that anyone reading this has had those similar emotions about a situation in their lives. This makes it easy for us readers to connect with her and the message she was trying to send to us.
