I think that she is describing that she is literate with divorce.I thinkthat this piece is is very true. I have been raised by a single mom and I think that she did a wonderful job, better than some people with a partner. I think that a good support system is necessary for the children in the family. She kept talking about the Family of Dolls and how that is what people consider the perfect family. I agree with how she views divoreced familes as not broken. They don't necessarily have to be fails if they get divoreced. I actually see divorece as something only a strong person can do and it can be better for the children in the long run. Children who see their parents argue all the time are going to be more damaged emotionally than a child whos parents got divorced.I think that non-traditonal familes can be just as strong and I think that my non-traditonal family is perfect. My single mom did a good job with 3 kids on her own. I agree that sometimes your friends would not be around when you get divoreced becuase I saw that with my mom and I think that those people are not your real friends. I also agree that you shouldn't feel sorry for kids of divorced families, it does make us uncomfortable. I think that nobody should take pity on me for being a child of divorce, I think that my mom made the right decision.
