Stone Soup
In "Stone Soup", Barbara Kingsolver is describing her literacy in broken home settings. She herself went through a divorce and she questions the fact that why does a "broken home" have to be a bad thing. She argues that people change and families can stay the same. She questions why do we have to "label" families with single family, blended family, gay family, or divorced family because people judge us by these labels that we are given. I really liked what Kingsolver had to say about families. Every family is different in almost every possible way and it's impossible to generalize such families.
