I think this is a good literacy autobiography about the past, Salman in "The Broken Mirror" was banished from his city Bombay, and he had to think about the past in order to remember how things use to be. Its true that all memories are all lost in some form of thought, but in "The Broken Mirror" the main character had to dig from within and go back to the place where he once was from. But in some ways this is not a good autobiography, you cannot explain in one way about the past. Everyone has a different past, so his view on it is very opinionated. Sometimes what you remember is not as concrete as if you lived or experienced one thing everyday. it was also hard to narrow one literacy in the story.
