Amy Tan Quickwrite 1/12

Amy Tan's piece has many wonderful qualities that make a compelling autobiography. My favorite part of the piece is the way she presented the story. She used such an informal tone and gave you a true insider's perspective into her life and her thoughts. You can feel all of her emotions and all of her frustrations. She used great amounts of details and her diction created a vivid picture for the reader. The fact that it also is a true story and event from her life makes the story easier to relate to. I have read a piece from Amy Tan before about her life and some of the struggles that she has had, but this was by far my favorite exert from the bigger story. My favorite part was her vivid word choice and the perspective she wrote from.
