Tan's Autobiography 1/12/12

Amy Tan's piece "Two Kinds" is compelling piece because she is descriptive when it came to discussing feelings. When discussing her feelings with her mother she discusses how the relationship changes as time goes on. Since me and my mother have arguments over what I should do with my life I can understand what Amy was feeling but the way she rebelled her mom is not what I would do. I liked how she first described how she wanted to be a "genius" and then as time goes on the reader sees the change in her wants and goals.
